Why is the try-out missing?
A newcomer can't find a try-out, or a class doesn't offer one. The checks Dansly makes, in order, and what to change.
For owners and managers
A class only offers a try-out when every check below passes. Go down the list; the first one that fails is your answer.
Is the person new?#
A try-out is for somebody who has never booked or enrolled at your school. Anyone who has ever:
- booked a class that wasn't a try-out (and didn't cancel it), or
- held a seat in a course (and didn't cancel it)
doesn't get try-outs any more. A try-out they took before doesn't make them "not new". It's the next check that decides whether they get another.
Test it yourself with an account that has never booked at your school. Your own staff account isn't new.
Have they used their try-out already?#
Set by How often somebody may try under Try-out classes:

A try-out they cancelled themselves counts. One they abandoned at checkout doesn't. One on a date your school cancelled doesn't either.
School-wide#
- Offer a try-out class is on.
- What can be tried includes this kind of class: Courses, Open classes or Both.
For a course#
- Which week they may try: with The first week only, only week 1 offers a try-out. Once week 1 has started, the block has nothing to offer.
- Which blocks are on offer: with Only the blocks I tick, the course needs Offer a try-out on this block ticked in the course editor.
- The course is published, and your school is live.
For an open class#
- The class doesn't say No try-outs here under Try-out class in its editor.
For the date#
- It isn't cancelled, and it hasn't started.
- Booking is open: within the class's Opens (days before), and before Closes (minutes before start).
- How many in one class isn't reached. With a number set, that many try-outs on one date closes it to more. None closes every class.
- There's room. Even with Unlimited, a try-out needs a free place in the role they dance (or anywhere, for a solo course). An event is never a try-out.
Still missing?#
Look at the preview What a newcomer sees on the Try-out classes page. It reads your settings back as the offer. If it says something you didn't mean, change the setting it comes from.
