Discount codes

Codes that take a percentage or an amount off course blocks, credit plans or single visits, for everyone, newcomers or early enrolers, with dates and use limits.

For owners and managers

A discount code is a word you hand out, like SUMMER25, that takes money off at checkout. Early-bird and newcomer deals are also just codes, with a condition.

Where: sidebar → Plans & codes, second card. Choose a code to edit it, or start a new one.
Who: owners and managers.

A dancer can enter one code per purchase. Codes don't stack.

What it takes off#

  • Code: letters, numbers and hyphens, for example SUMMER25 or EARLY-BIRD.
  • A percentage (Percent off, 1–100) or An amount (Amount off (€)).

What it works on#

Pick one or more of:

  • Course blocks
  • Credit plans
  • Single visits (open classes priced per class)

Codes don't apply to try-outs.

When you pick exactly one kind, you can narrow it further:

  • One block only: a single course, or Any course block.
  • One plan only: a single credit plan, or Any credit plan.

Who can use it#

ChoiceWho
AnyoneAnybody who knows the code.
NewcomersOnly somebody who has never paid you for anything. A paid try-out doesn't count against them, since converting people who tried a class is what this is for.
First of a kindOnly somebody buying this kind of thing from you for the first time: their first block, say, even if they already bought a credit plan.

How long, and how often#

FieldMeaning
From / Until (and including)The dates the code works. Both optional.
Uses in totalHow many times it can be used across everyone. Empty means no limit.
Uses per dancer1–99. Starts at 1.
Only when enrolling this many days aheadOnly shown when the code works on course blocks. The code only works if the dancer enrols at least this many days before the block's first lesson. This is how you make an early-bird code.

Only a course block has a start date. If you set Only when enrolling this many days ahead on a code that also covers credit plans or single visits, it's refused for those, and the dialog warns you.

The grey summary at the bottom reads your choices back, for example "EARLY-BIRD — 10% off · course blocks · 21+ days ahead · first booking only". Check it before saving.

Saving, turning off and deleting#

  • Make the code (new) or Save code (existing) saves the code on its own. There's no need to press Save changes at the top of the page, which is for credit plans.
  • Turn off stops a code working without deleting it. Turn back on restores it.
  • Delete (then Delete for good) is only offered for a code nobody has used. A used code stays as the record of why those payments were lower, so turn it off instead.

Changing what a used code takes off doesn't change what earlier dancers paid.

The list of codes#

Each code shows what it does, and how often it's been used ("3 of 50 used", "Not used yet"). Anything that isn't working has a badge:

BadgeMeaning
Not yetIts From date hasn't arrived.
EndedIts Until date has passed.
Used upUses in total reached.
OffYou turned it off.

Working codes have no badge. The header counts how many of your codes are working.

To see payments made with a code, filter the Payments page by that code.
