A setting or button is missing

Something in the help centre isn't on your screen. Usually your role, a school-wide switch, the class's state, or a choice that only appears after another one.

For owners, managers and teachers

If a help page mentions something you can't find, it's usually one of the reasons below.

Your role#

You're a	You don't have
Teacher	Anything but Tonight, My classes and My dancers. No prices, payments, members list, settings, or cancelling a date. Edit this date doesn't let you change the teachers.
Manager	Inviting or changing managers. Publishing the school, payouts and billing are view-only.
Owner	Everything.

Your school's setup#

Missing	Because
Go live instead of Tonight in the sidebar	Something still blocks your school from going live. Tonight comes back when nothing does.
Catch-ups in the sidebar	Courses are switched off on the School page. Catch-ups are for course weeks.
In a block tab on Members	Courses are off.
Open classes tab on Members	You don't sell credit plans.
Tried a class tab on Members	Nobody has taken a try-out yet.
Plan filter on Members	You have fewer than two plans.
Fill-ins tab for your dancers	Your fill-in automation is off.
Credits can't be published on a class	You have no credit plan for sale. Use Make one now.
Changing the join code	Your school is live. The code is fixed then.

The class's state#

Missing or greyed out	Because
Day, time, length, repeat and dates	The class is published and running. See Changed a class but this date didn't move.
An earlier Runs until on a running open class, or an end date on one with none	A running class's end only moves later. Use End class to stop it. See Stop or extend.
Add dancer on a course	The course is still a draft.
Add dancer on a date	The date is cancelled or has passed.
Edit this date	The date is cancelled.
Unpublish on a course	Someone holds a seat. Use Cancel course instead.
Cancel course	Nobody holds a seat (use Unpublish), or the course is a draft or has ended.
Delete draft	It's no longer a draft. Published classes end or unpublish instead.
Delete on a discount code	The code has been used. Turn off instead.
Remove building	It's your main or only building, or classes use it.

A choice that depends on another#

Missing	Appears when
Refund a cancelled try-out, Counts toward the block	Charge for it is chosen under Try-out classes.
Which week, Which blocks	Try-outs include courses.
Offer a try-out on this block doing anything	The school offers try-outs on Only the blocks I tick.
While they decide whether to join on a course	The block offers a try-out and newcomers get days to decide.
One block only / One plan only on a code	The code works on exactly one kind of purchase.
Only when enrolling this many days ahead	The code works on course blocks.
How many people instead of per role	Solo work — no leads and follows is on (courses only).
Capacity per role on an event	Never: an event has How many people fit instead, optional.
Carry over at most	Credits carry over is chosen.

Things Dansly doesn't do#

Some things aren't in the product, so you won't find them anywhere: messaging a class or a dancer, charging a dancer's card, waiting lists, automatic holiday skipping, moving everyone up a level, copying a course, handing over ownership, or removing a dancer from your school. The relevant articles say what to do instead.
