Credit plans

Monthly credit plans for open classes, covering credits a month, weekly maximum, Unlimited, Most picked, carry-over, how many plans a dancer may buy, and removing a plan.

For owners and managers

A credit plan is a month of credits a dancer buys once. They spend the credits on open classes that are priced in credits. "Flex: 8 credits a month, at most 2 classes a week, €85" is a credit plan.

Where: sidebar → Plans & codes, top card Credit plans.
Who: owners and managers.

Who needs credit plans#

Only schools that price open classes in credits. Courses never use credits: a course has its own price. Neither do open classes priced per class or free. A school that runs courses, or sells single visits, needs no plans at all, and a new school starts with none.

The page warns you in two situations:

  • You have plans, but no published class is priced in credits, so nobody can spend them.
  • A published class is priced in credits, but you have no plan for sale, so nobody can book it.

How a plan works for dancers#

  • A plan covers the calendar month it's bought in, in your school's time zone. Credits bought on 25 March are for March. On 1 April the dancer starts again, with or without carried-over credits (see below).
  • A plan is a one-off purchase. It doesn't renew automatically. The dancer buys again next month if they want to.
  • When they book, a class takes the number of credits set on that class. If a dancer cancels in time, the credit comes back; see Cancellations.

A plan's settings#

Choose a plan to edit it, or + New plan. A new plan starts as 8 credits, max 2 a week, €85. Change all of it.

FieldLimitsMeaning
NameUp to 40 characters, requiredWhat dancers see: "Flex", "Regular".
Price (€)What the month costs.
Credits a month1–99How many credits the plan gives.
Max a week1–14, or emptyHow many credit-priced classes a dancer on this plan can book per week (Monday–Sunday, by the date of the class). Empty means no weekly maximum.
UnlimitedNo credit count and no weekly maximum: every open class priced in credits.
Most pickedOne plan at mostHighlights this plan where dancers choose. It's a label, not a discount. Ticking it on one plan unticks it on the others.

Max a week counts classes, not credits#

A dancer on "8 credits, max 2 a week" can book two classes in a week, even if one of them costs 2 credits. They can't book a third that week, even with credits left. Classes where Counts towards a member's weekly maximum is off (set on the class) don't count; see Open-class editor.

Unlimited means open classes#

An Unlimited plan covers open classes priced in credits. It doesn't include courses, which always have their own price.

A class can be kept for some plans#

Each credit-priced open class can limit which plans may book it (Plans allowed in the open-class editor). A dancer on another plan is told "Your plan does not include this class." and can't book it.

How credits behave#

These apply to every plan.

At the end of the month#

  • Credits expire (default): whatever isn't used by the 1st is gone. Every month starts at the full plan again.
  • Credits carry over: unused credits roll into next month and stack on top of the new plan.
    • Carry over at most (1–99, optional) caps how many roll over. Empty means no ceiling, so a dancer who skips a month arrives with double.

Plans a dancer can buy each month#

No limit, 1, 2 or 3.

  • No limit: a dancer who runs out can buy another plan straight away.
  • 1–3: once they've bought that many plans in a month, they can't buy credits again until the 1st.

Removing a plan#

Select the plan, then Remove plan.

  • A plan that's never been bought is deleted outright.
  • A plan that has been bought (this month or ever) can't be deleted, only retired. The dialog tells you how many dancers are on it this month, and the button reads Stop selling it. It disappears from your prices page and checkout from then on. Dancers who already bought it keep every credit for the rest of the month, and can spend them on any class that takes credits even when no plan is on sale any more; credits are read from the purchase, not from the plan. Next month they choose from what you offer then.

Saving#

Changes to plans and credit behaviour wait for Save changes at the top of the page. Discard throws them away. Removing a plan also only happens when you save. Discount codes below save on their own; see Discount codes.

Your first plan from a class#

If you're setting up a credit-priced open class and have no plans yet, the class editor offers Make one now. It opens Your first credit plan with the same fields, and the plan goes on sale as soon as you create it.
